What about that full moon!
Over the last couple of weeks I have found myself opening up and releasing a lot of emotion that has been stagnant for far too long.
Do you feel guilt? Is the weight of the world on your shoulders? Perhaps you are searching for answers to explain your anxiety?
I know those feels. Anxiety has crippled me at various times throughout my life and I have tried many techniques to ease the burden. Some have helped, some not so much.
I do not have a miracle cure for you, nor do I have the answers. However what I can offer is my journey and what helps me.
Recently I have been reminded that life is made up of fleeting moments. The only constant we can be 100% sure of is change. It helps me to remember this when my anxiety is creeping through and rearing its ugly head.
Through yoga and meditation I have found sanctuary from my anxiety. I have learned breathing techniques to release what no longer serves me. I practice visualizations of my nirvana where I am safe, protected and can flow without the weight of my emotions.
Yoga is so much more to us at Raising Space than a 1 hour stretch class. It helps us focus, be thankful, create and enjoy the silence. The benefits are bountiful and I urge each and every one of you to fall in love or find the love again for the ancient art of yoga.
Our intention for the future is to create a flow of abundant gratitude, passion and mindfulness through a connected appreciation for yoga.
